The results of the elections to the BOA Athletes Commission have been released, and the BAC is delighted to see the high calibre of athletes that have been elected and selected to serve on the new commission.
Current BAC directors that have been elected are:
Karen Pickering
Leon Taylor
Goldie Sayers
Adam Pengilly (BAC vice chair) also takes a position on the new commission due to his role as a member of the IOC athletes commission. Former BAC chair Kate Allenby has also been elected to serve. With such a breadth of experience, including all the other high quality individuals that have been elected, the BAC is looking forward to working closely with the new body.
Karen Pickering (BAC Chair) said:
“I’m very pleased to be elected to the new BOA Athletes’ Commission. The set-up of this Commission is another very positive step for the BOA and I look forward to bringing my experience as Chair of the BAC to this board and continuing to play my part in providing the athlete perspective as we enter the exciting final two year countdown to London 2012.”
