Athlete Advocate

At each major games (Commonwealth and Olympic) the BAC aims to have a representative available for athletes to speak to should they encounter a problem which they cannot deal with. Most situations can be handled by a member of the athletes sport or by the National Organising Committee (BOA CGCE etc), however situations can arise, particularly disciplinary issues, where athletes can find themselves in a situation where they have no support. The BAC ensures that there is always someone available to speak to in these situations, to act as a source of advice, to act as the athletes representative, or to help find legal representation for the athlete if needed.
