How do I become a Rep?

So you want to become an athlete representative. How do you go about it?

There are a number of things to consider.

If your sport has an athlete representative system in place:

• Is there a representative already in position in your division of the sport?
• If so you may need to wait until the next time there are elections (usually held annually)
• However, if the athletes are unhappy with the current representative you could ask for elections to be held sooner.

If your sport does not have an athlete rep system in place then the process is a little different.

• First of all you need to decide how many reps your sport needs to represent the athletes effectively. This will give you a clear idea of exactly who you are going to be representing
