The British Athletes Commission (BAC) has this month expanded its team, with the recruitment of a new, full-time Communications Manager.
Carly Baldwin joins the BAC after five years working in British Cycling’s communications team including, latterly, as press officer for the para-cycling squad within the Great Britain Cycling Team.
The appointment strengthens the BAC’s existing team, which works to represent, support and empower Britain’s elite athletes.
Mahdi Choudhury, BAC Chief Executive, said:
“We are delighted to welcome Carly to the team. The appointment of a full-time Communications Manager will allow the organisation to expand the service it can provide within the high performance sport system.
“In recent years, the BAC has expanded hugely in terms of our influence and the support we can offer to our membership, and this addition to our team will help to ensure that athletes and other stakeholders are informed of, engaged with and supported by our work. The BAC plays an integral part in the British high performance system and, as with this appointment, we are continuously looking at ways in which we can evolve to provide the best service possible to our members.”
