For the majority of athletes, the past 12 months have been plagued with uncertainty, due to the ongoing effects of the pandemic.
As part of Mental Health Awareness Week, Luke Doherty, of Mindful Peak Performance, has given us some insight in how to deal with uncertainty and change, both in terms of its physical and psychological manifestations.
In the first of two videos, Luke explains how uncertainty can affect us physically, and outlines a meditation technique which can help to balance this out.
Here, Luke explains how uncertainty can take its toll on us mentally, and how meditation can allow the mind to step out of the pattern of ruminative thinking, which can be damaging.
