2004

The British Athletes Commission (BAC) was set up in 2004 to represent the interests of athletes in Great Britain to decision makers in sport, and to help athletes in member sports set up and maintain athlete representative structures within their sport.

TODAY

The British Athletes Commission (BAC) is now focused on providing its entire membership (circa 1600 athletes) with world class advice and support, together with ensuring the collective athlete voice is listened to and used to influence future decision making. The BACs priority over the next couple of years is to ensure it is firmly embedded within the sports system and seen as a fair and independent organisation that adds value to both the athlete and high performance system as a whole.
